Shady Lane Park Revitalization project was designed by Talley Landscape Architects, Inc. The park plan is already in final construction phase drawings and construction is expected to start in early summer.

The Shady Lane Park Revitalization project was a huge success with people enjoying the boat, the log, climbing gator, and everything else about the park. As Mayor Annise Parker said, 'Shady Lane Park is one of the best parks in Houston, in fact at this park you can get an education and play.'

The possibilities are endless when you bring out the creative side of children. The SPARKling art exhibit was held to celebrate student accomplishments through the partnership of SPARK School Park Program and charming charlie - an award winning fashion accessories retailer. TLA was not only part of this amazing event but also took home an art piece created by the kindergarten and 1st grade students of Robinson Elementary under the artistic guidance of Susana Perez. 'This is our school!,' exclaimed Merrie Talley, referencing the SPARK Park TLA has been chosen to design.

The boat, the log, climbing gator, and most of the toddler equipment is in place while the placement of the boulders is almost complete and the walks and wetland will be completed next week (August 12-16). We look forward to this magnificent project coming to fruition for the 2013 NRPA Congress and Exposition taking place August 8-10 in Houston, Texas.
