Talley Landscape Architects was hired to develop a new masterplan for the City of Pearland’s 74-acre Independence Park.
The completed first phase of construction features an outdoor stage and amphitheater berm that accommodates over 3000 patrons, a Vendor Allee for festivals, markets, and other events, and a fully accessible playground with custom play features.
The planned second phase includes expansion of the initial playground to over two acres of play experiences. Ultimately, the detention basin will expand into a dual level amenity lake with a two-story building housing a restaurant, paddle boat and bike rental, and other public facilities to provide revenue for maintaining this park into the future.
